Oreco Group's Factory Expansion to Quadruple Production

The expansion of Childers farm and garden business Oreco Group will create an estimated 140 new jobs.

New jobs created at the Childers facility will provide work to machinery operators and drivers, technicians and trade workers, clerical and administration officers, and labourers, both semi-skilled and ticket level.

Mayor Jack Dempsey said it's great news for the Bundaberg Region.

“This will have flow-on benefits for other businesses, the Childers community and the broader regional economy,” he said. “I'd like to congratulate Oreco Group on their vision and thank the State Government for supporting job creation in the Bundaberg Region.”

Oreco's managing director Paul Woosley said the company has grown more than 400 per cent in the past decade and has reached capacity in its current manufacturing facility.
