At Oreco Group, we believe that the foundation of great produce starts well before the seed hits the soil - it begins with the compost.

With the expansion of our composting footprint into a new western site, we’re doubling down on a principle that’s long been core to how we operate: clean, high-integrity compost is non-negotiable.

Unfortunately, in many parts of the country, compost has become a catch-all solution for waste streams that simply don’t belong in agriculture - including curbside waste, grease trap residues, treated timbers, and building materials. These contaminants might be out of sight once blended into the mix, but they absolutely shouldn’t be out of mind when it comes to the food we grow and the soils we depend on.

Our approach is different. Every product we create is sourced with care and intention. We do not accept kerbside waste or any material that could compromise soil health, food safety, or environmental integrity. All of the materials we process on our sites are clean, plant-safe, and tailored for performance - and we’re proud to bring this level of quality to our customers.

Better still, all of our sites are located in fire ant-free zones, offering peace of mind to farmers and distributors alike. In an industry where movement restrictions are increasingly tight, we’re proud to offer consistent, high-quality material without the biosecurity headaches.

With access to a large volume of premium-grade compostable material, this new site positions Oreco to meet demand sustainably, while staying true to our values. Whether it’s for home gardens, commercial crops or large-scale landscaping, we’re here to grow - the right way.

Because soil health is community health and that starts with what we put into it.
