Product Description

Sugar cane mulch is an excellent choice for a variety of garden types. The fibres in this bale are heat treated and triple screened, removing as many smaller particles as possible while reducing the risk of germination from foreign seed matter.

The reduction of smaller particles means primarily longer fibers remain which improves aeration, water permeation and coverage.

Oreco Group reduce the environmental impact of traditional burning of sugar cane and the leafy by-products by harvesting the parts of the plant that are not used in sugar production, leaving zero waste. This cane by-product is cured, cut, screened, compression baled and sliced, producing a high quality garden care product that's not only perfect for your garden, but positive for the environment.

At Oreco Group, we are manufacturers of a sustainable future; dedicated to assuring the quality of the products we create by being hands-on from the farm to finished product. Oreco Group's mission is to source eco-friendly, sustainable and natural Australian materials to produce the cleanest and highest quality garden and animal care products in the world!

TYPES OF USAGE

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

NEW
If you’re laying much for the first time, we recommend laying the mulch at a depth of up to 50mm over a clean and well prepared area to assist with weed suppression. Ensure that an area of 2cm is maintained around the base of each plant to reduce the risk of any plant rot.

REPLENISHMENT
For existing gardens needing a top up or for gardens that already have mulch and require refreshing, we recommend laying mulch at a depth of up to 25mm. To assist with reduction of weeds, ensure the area is prepared appropriately, with existing weeds cleared and appropriately treated before spreading the mulch.
