How Far Will 50L of Potting Mix Go?

When planning your garden or potting projects, it’s helpful to know how much potting mix you need. Below is a general guide for how far one 50L bag of potting mix will go when used in different applications.

For Pots & Containers

The number of pots you can fill depends on their size. Here’s an estimate:

Small pots (150mm diameter) → Fill approx. 10–12 pots
Medium pots (200mm diameter) → Fill approx. 5–6 pots
Large pots (300mm diameter) → Fill approx. 3–4 pots
Extra-large pots (400mm+ diameter) → Fill approx. 1–2 pots

For Garden Beds & Raised Beds
